Remember when the Panama Papers confirmed that Nevada is one of the worlds’ leading places for rich/corrupt people to hide and/or launder money? There’s some legislation for that ,and a) it is lame, and b) there are many reasons it is lame. I try to explain both a and b, along with some other things about Nevada’s tawdry role as a haven for mystery shell companies — including how the state’s business registration laws are probably facilitating Trump’s corruption — in this piece I wrote for the Nevada Independent. So please go read that, thanks.
